Vishwanath Temple, BHU

Couldn't really help capturing this view.

Perspective

A different angle. Depicts pride, focus and attention. Heads are held high, aligned vision. A different perception altogether. I liked this one. Guess it would have been better had I covered Varun's face too within the frame, which I left out unintentionally.

At VT

And I heard people saying - There is no free lunch. ;)

Colours

Enjoy the vivid colours of a busy morning at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Another version of this pic is what you shall soon come across.

Panorama

A panoramic view from Dashashwamedh Ghat. Downstream Ganges.

Sepia

A normal picture would excite you by way of it's variant and vivid colours that you would find in it. This one, however, seems to sooth you down, contrary to the warming effect of sepia. It depicts as if the subjects have lost their energy, their individuality. They're miscible. They've grown comparable in terms of their energy. They seem to have been hybridized.

Friends

Friends. Lack of details. Make it against the sun, and all looks so surprisingly quiet.

Placid

The water of the Ganges is placid, with the three children making their bests to spread ripples. I liked this view. The sun had grown intense. The boats were all stationary and their random alignment looked good.

Morning at Ghat

The aarti venue at Dashashwamedh. A lost Akshit too.

Silhouette

A nice object to put up against the sun. Even the most gross things look beautiful against light, when all that is visible of them is silhouette.

Lost

The sepia mode. All you can see is parabolic white light and no sun in it. A requested pic for myself.

Sunrise

The rise of the sun. Beautiful indeed. Mark the shades of light an early morning sun puts up. Mark the periphery of the upper half of the sun diffusing into yellow light. Mark the periphery of it's lower half still clearly visible against orange light. Mark the reflection of the sun in the water. Mark a weed growing somewhere in between the river. Mark a bird in lower right corner. They're all building blocks to a good flick.

Pre-rise

A sunrise awaited at Assi Ghat, Varanasi. I was trying to capture something good. This one came up. Although the clarity isn't satisfactory, it presents nice shades of purple, pink and violet. Thanks to the Dawn mode.

Masjid at Bara Imambara, Lucknow

Now this is indeed an architectural masterpiece.

And the light shone

Ray of hope, door to enlightenment, doorway to Heaven, into the light, optimism, pursuit of happiness - whatever you can think of.

Alley

At Bara Imambara. Don't know why, but the arches remind me of Maula mere maula from Anwar.

Data Structures

An architectural 3 x N matrix. :P

Candid moods

Candid pose. Let's not ruffle the people. Natural poses are better than deliberate ones. What? You find it analogous to something you read in The Tao of Physics?

Warmed

The Masjid, Bara Imambara. I've had nice experience of photo shooting in sepia mode. It warms up the pic. Being opposite to the sun, it wouldn't have been more beautiful in vivid colours.

Contre - jour

Contre-jour. The minaret of the Masjid, Bara Imambara. A sign-board said - "Non-muslims not allowed". But I believe photography has no bounds.

Contrasting colours

I wish the worker was closer to the setting sun. I wish I could have gotten closer without a zoom.

Sunset colours

An attempt to capture the evening sun and the cloud patterns it highlighted. Failed, seemingly.

Cse lobby

Clicked sometime after Holi (mark the mud-stained palm print). Myself, Shanky, Jain and Bhajji were reflecting on random things sitting outside my room in the lobby, which seemed deserted.

Diagonalization

Yeah! Yeah! I know it's a good-for-nothing pic. I just wanted to construct a diagonal after all.

Aao. Aao.

Ever since I fed them some leftover namkeen I had brought from home, they identified me and my room, and kept striking back for two consecutive days, both in my presence and absence, even to the extent of alighting on my computer table even when I would be sitting inside !

Nandi Hills, Bangalore

This view was panoramic, comparable to the one I had seen online while sitting in my cube in Cisco. A beautiful weather complemented it.

Watch your steps folks !

I liked this snap from the very moment I clicked it. Seems Aditya and Shashank are stepping into no ground. All that is visible is too low.
